I don't know why I torture myself when it comes to raffles. Since the 6th grade when I entered my first cake walk, I have never, ever won a door prize. From silent auctions to promotional parties, I've always been one digit away from walking home with a cheese basket or a wine rack. Last year, I sat one seat away from the winner of a Nikon D5000. It was my last straw; I was never entering a raffle again.

So when I saw that Stila was accepting applications for "Stila Girl of the Month" I applied with no expectations. I absolutely adore their makeup, but figured my resume would get lost at the bottom of the pile. In fact, I forgot that I had entered until I received an email telling me I was one of the top 10 finalists for the competition.
